At the NCO Caring Kitchen Project, youth volunteers sharpen their nutrition and culinary skills while recieving hands-on job and leadership training. As they prepare meals for those facing cancer in our community, they foster a sense of empathy and community connection.
For 3 years Gardens Project has partnered with the MCOE New Beginnings Program to facilitate a 10 week internship program in the gardens with the New Beginnings teens.They have been involved in the development of 9 school gardens and 3 Foster Youth Gardens.The Gardens Project collaborates with family resource centers and school districts to offer youth volunteer opportunities and support for garden educators.
