Having grown up and been a single mom in Covelo, Leadership Mendocino was a life-changing experience. My eyes were open to new ideas, unseen beauty, innovative thinking, and expanded relationships. Each class day I learned something new from Factory Pipe manufacturing in Ukiah to Art on the Mendocino coast.

As a business owner Leadership Mendocino was invaluable to give me connections outside the field of real estate. I learned so much about our county and I was raised here so that was surprising.

Being born and raised in Ukiah/Mendocino County, I thought I knew all that I had to know. Thankfully, I was proven wrong. Leadership Mendocino has taught me so much about myself and about the county I call home.

One of the first things I remember about Leadership Mendocino is feeling nervous to meet and converse with my LM classmates. Could I contribute any value to this group of highly qualified leaders? One of the second things I remember is how quickly I learned that these were real people who are kind, welcoming, and supportive. Years later, I continue to receive that same support and encouragement from my classmates and from other LM alumni, who offer guidance and motivation to pursue new goals of self-improvement and community enrichment.
