NCO Offers assistance to those impacted by COVID-19 or other disasters
Various support services are available to those impacted by Covid-19 or federally declared wildfire
NCO recognizes the challenges many community members are feeling because of Covid-19 combined with the culminating impacts of several years of federally declared wildfires. In response, NCO is offering various types of support to the community. Apply for support directly by clicking the button on the right hand side of this page. Limited funds are available and will be disbursed on a first come, first served basis.
If you were evacuated or experienced a loss from any of the federally declared wildfires in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2020, up to $2500.00 in financial support is available. Financial support may be available to pay bills that support your housing stabilization. Examples include; rent, mortgage, utilities, property taxes, homeowner’s insurance, homeowner’s association dues, etc. Proof that you were living in the home as your primary residence during the time of the wildfire will be required.
If you have been impacted by wildfire and have experienced lost wages, food, or gas, you may be eligible for a small mini grant.
If you are a Lake County resident who is ineligible for any of the Covid-19 stimulus packages/government aid, NCO can help. Mini grants will be mailed to residents and checks can be cashed at Savings Bank of Mendocino County in Lakeport. Valid ID will be required to cash checks. Client information is kept private and secured and will not be shared with any outside agencies.
“We encourage residents to apply through our website as soon as possible,” says Robyn Bera, Director of Community Projects. “If you are a resident who is struggling due to wildfires or Covid-19 please apply, we have various funds that may be able to help you. Our goal is to get these critical funds to the residents who need them most.”
If you are homebound and in need of food, and not able to access other community food resources, you may be eligible to receive free groceries delivered to your home. NCO is a partner in the Community Food Drive Project. Call 707-993-4644 to apply for the next delivery.

NCO Apoyo Financiero de Covid-19 y de desastres naturales para el Condado de Lake

NCO reconoce las dificultades que muchos miembros de la comunidad se enfrentan debido a Covid-19 combinado con los impactos culminantes de varios años de incendios forestales declarados federalmente. Si usted es un residente del Condado de Lake y no califico para los paquetes de estímulo económico de Covid-19 o ayuda gubernamental, NCO le puede ayudar. La ayuda financiera se enviará por correo a los residentes eligibles. Los cheques se pueden cambiar en el Savings Banks del Condado de Mendocino en Lakeport. Se requerirá un documento de identidad válido para cobrar cheques. La información del cliente es confidencial y se mantiene privada y segura y no se compartirá con ninguna otra agencia.
